Important Update Regarding Paspaley Darwin Star Ball 2020
Following the recent Australian Government announcements about social gathering restrictions, the 2020 Darwin Star Ball has been cancelled.
On behalf of the Darwin Star Ball committee, thank you to everyone who has already booked a table and to all who have been working so hard behind the scenes on bringing this signature fundraising event to life.
We sincerely thank the sponsors of Darwin Star Ball, the major fundraiser for the Starlight Children’s Foundation in the Northern Territory. We also thank Territorians who purchased tickets to support this important cause.
All ticket sales will be reimbursed, and organisers will be in touch over the coming weeks to arrange refunds. Starlight ask that you consider the option of converting your table purchase into a tax-deductible donation, to continue to support their vital programs during this difficult time. Organisers will be in touch with you to discuss your options, and your patience with the administrative process is much appreciated.
Importantly, we are thinking of the Australian and Northern Territory communities at this difficult time.
When it is safe to do so, rest assured, the Darwin Star Ball will be held again, and it will be bigger and stronger than ever.
Starlight CEO Louise Baxter also had these words to share with you:
“Everything we do at Starlight is based on positivity, and rest assured we will continue to deliver the life changing positive impact of Starlight in any way we can, to children and families at this time. We truly appreciate your ongoing support which is key to our Starlight program delivery. We look forward to the return of Darwin Star Ball in 2021, and thank all of our supporters for their patience, understanding and positivity during this difficult time.”
If you are able to support Starlight during this time, you can also donate directly at www.starlight.org.au/donate/.
Best wishes to you and your family at this challenging time. We look forward to seeing you soon.
